I have to stand very close to the trunk to open it with the key. If it's in my pocket, it won't even open. Also, I have to be within about 5 feet of the vehicle to open the door. It's very frustrating because I have remote start which is useless with such a short distance. It's not a battery problem since I've replaced with new battery.

They believe it might be due to the alarm system and wanted to take it out for inspection, but was gong to charge me $150 just to take it out and insect. They don't even know if this was the case, but was gong to charge just to check. Even though it was still under warranty, they would not fix it because they said the alarm system (that was installed by Honda as an add-on option when I bought the car) was an after market product.

This was never disclosed to me and I was never made aware that it was not covered under warranty or that it was an after market alarm. I used to like Honda, but this is going to be my last car. This issue, along with all the other lighting issues I've hit, really makes me fell Honda is inferior brand that is ripping off their customers.

Remote keyless entry range is horrible. Sometimes I need to be standing 5 feet from the car to be able to lock/unlock/start my vehicle. If I leave my car and start to walk away a couple of feet, the remote will not work. If my key fob is in my pants pocket, the keyless door entry does not work. Battery is not the issue, I replaced both batteries in both key fobs. I took my car in for service and they said my keyless access unit was bad. They ordered me a new one and it was replaced. Just got my car back from service and the issue has not been fixed! I should not have to be standing 5 feet from my vehicle to unlock it. I bought my car 1 month ago, seems like Honda is unaware of this issue or has no solution. This is very annoying and there has to be a fix for this soon!!

So my key fob will only function within a 5ft radius of the all new 2016 Honda Accord. That's crazy, so I dropped off my Honda at service and called American Honda to complain about this issues and they said that it can't be fixed because that's the way it is. So I have now run out of my house in the rain up and next to the car to use auto start and run back in. What the hell did they put auto start as a feature then and I can't turn off the alarm because I have to be next to it. That's crazy. What about when I look for my car in the parking lot...I'm am not happy with Honda. Meanwhile the 2015 model had the same features and remote but works fine...Honda sucks!!!....
