Bought a brand new 2016 Accord. the same night on the way home on the freeway i hear wind noise coming from the driver side. I have taken back the car twice now and still the issue is not fixed. First they tell me this is a known issue from 2015 accord and now with the 2017 Honda accord they still haven't fixed it. How can Honda corporation do this to their customers. I paid 28K for my car and not happy . The dealer tells me that they fix the issue and their service tech test drives the car but when i drive the car back home from the dealer the problem is still there. I have wasted my time and 2 days going back to the dealer. I am scheduled again to go back in a week. I am thinking they are selling lemon products .. I am not sure if anyone has claimed a Lemon Law on this type of issue.

Accord EXL 4

From the day I purchased the vehicle I noticed wind noise coming from the upper part of the drivers side window. I found out it was much louder at higher speeds above 55 mph. I took the car into the shop and they said the runs were improperly sealed. They applied " EPT" ( don't know what that stands for) & stated it was " much quieter now ". It is not quieter & its very annoying. Not a happy customer .

Reviews says drive is quiet but at high speed the wind noise becomes annoying. The dealership did not accept this complaint and said this is normal and no one has complained. Cannot find a solution. America Honda does not want to deal with this complaint.

Excessive wind noise near the passenger side, front window, top corner.

Update from Apr 22, 2016: Made an appointment with Honda dealer and gave them the information and reference to Technical Service Bulletin. The service manager acknowledged the TSB and said that they have the "fix kit" available. Took the car in and had the service tech drive with me to confirm the wind noise. Unfortunately, they didn't have the kit and needed to order it. Another waste of my time... I will update once the kit is installed.

Accord LX

  • Automatic transmission
  • 50 miles

New Accord LX and the first time I drove it on the highway, my wife and I noticed wind noise coming from the passenger side door panel. We checked that all the window and doors were firmly shut, but it persisted. Now with the radio off I notice it every time I accelerate to above 40 mph. It is awful.

I see others complaints on this issue already, all for a brand new car, so now I know I'm not hearing things and there is a defect. I plan to take it back to the dealership tomorrow for service. This is very disappointing, I hope they make good and fix this.

Update from Apr 5, 2016: The dealership service dept. replaced the driver side run channel noting they found a defect in it. The overall road noise is better, but I do still hear the same air leak on the passenger side when we I get up to highway speeds. I plan on taking it back to get the passenger side door looked at again.

I was surprised they repaired the driver side of the car when I reported it was the passenger side that sounded louder. I'm not sure what to make of that.

Update from Apr 25, 2016: I brought the car back to the dealership for a second time. This time they took much more time with it, the service rep. mentioned that they needed to call Honda's tech. line for advice. In the end they replaced the passenger side window run channel and the problem is now fixed.

This was done under the car warranty so I would recommend to anyone experiencing this problem, keep bringing the car in until they fix it.

Just bought the car & within day of purchase I could hear a wind noise which is horrible. Few cars has some road noise, but this sounds like wind is coming in from somewhere from window as if the windows are slightly open. I have ensured that my Music/AC is switched off just to ensure that its a wind noise. It;s very disturbing & annoying!!!! This is my first brand new car and I am not happy with it. I should bought some thing else.

I reached out to the Honda Service guys and they did some thing in couple of hours & said they did some publication which they fixed around window panel (they call a running board) but I see NO GOOD.....

Brand new car, but the wind noise is horrible. i understand that most cars have some road noise, but this sounds like wind is coming in from somewhere. Very annoying!!!! This is my first brand new car and I am not happy with it. Should have stayed with my Toyota line of vehicles. Should have stuck with what I know best. I saw one other complaint about the wind noise and I am sure there will be more.

accord lx: noisy drivers door window seal?

Brand new 2016 Accord LX, 1 week old car and ran just 150 miles. I've begun to notice a noise from the top edge of the drivers door window.

Then I noticed it does it mostly on rough roads and so I'm thinking it's actually the window glass moving slightly so that the textured seal is brushing against the glass and making a noise...

Anybody have same Problem?
