2005 Honda CR-V. condenser fan motor shorting out. Some have even burnt wires in the harness to this motor. After seeing this problem on one of my customers cars and finding out that the dealers have seen several of these and even worse I seem to find this to be a large problem with Honda's.
My A/C compressor in my 2006 Honda CRV blew up causing damage to the entire air conditioning system. This happened on a 9 hour trip through Texas summer heat with young children in the back seat. After doing some research on the internet I found out that it is a common problem among second generation crvs. Honda is selling these cars knowing that the compressor is defective and has not issued a recall and they refuse to pay for the full cost of repair. In addition, a repair does not guarantee that it won't happen again.
My wife was driving a 2005 Honda CRV and the car starting smoking and leaking oil. The Honda dealer stated that an oil change was improperly done. However, I have heard that this has been occurring to other people and wanted to report it so it was on file at the NHTSA..
