On my 2010 Honda CRV, the rear frame stiffener became excessively corroded over time which resulted in frame stiffener perforation. On 10/18/22, the rear trailing arm separated from the vehicle's body while I was driving, forcing loss of control until I could bring the vehicle to a stop. I called my auto service provider to come and examine the problem which he confirmed that the rear trailing arm had separated from the body, the car was undrivable, and needed to be towed to Butler's Body Shop. The body shop confirmed that the rear trailing arm was separated from the body, that the right and left trailing arms, the right and left rail assembly, and the left axle assembly would need to be replaced. I learned that there was a safety recall issued by Honda Canada for Rear Frame Stiffener Corrosion for 2007-2011 Honda CRV's. I contacted American Honda to report the issue and was told since there was no recall from them for my vehicle that there would be no reimbursement from them to fix my 2010 CRV. The same problem for the same vehicle warrants a safety recall from Honda Canada but not from American Honda? Makes no sense. My Honda case # is 13433028. Please investigate before a serious accident occurs. I have pictures of the corrosion and copies of the invoices which detail the repair.

Door lock and trunk lock actuator have both failed. The FOB does not unlock door or trunk. You also cannot unlock either from inside the vehicle.

I put my car in Drive after I got the green light to exit the car wash and the car surged forward and continued accelerating, knocking over several installations and going over a median separating the car wash from the roadway. The car ended up on the roadway, finally slowed down by multiple collisions and I was able to get control of it and get it parked and wait for the police to come. By some miracle, no-one was hurt, but the car was completely out of control. It just wouldn't stop or slow down. It was the most bizarre experience I have ever had and I fear it will not or cannot be investigated. I have informed my insurance company and my hope is that they can find something showing that the car malfunctioned.

I OWN A 2010 HONDA CRV EX. The rear sub frame that carries the axle and suspension on the left side broke while making a left- hand turn from a restaurant. The sub frame that attaches to the unibody had rusted and the bolt connecting the suspension had pulled the frame section out. The car was inspected by my insurance company AARP Hartford and denied payment. They considered this a mechanical issue. The suv was towed to Honda North in Butler PA where we bought the vehicle new for inspection. They also said it was a rust issue one of which the service manager has never seen in 30 some years working at Honda. He referred it to the area manager who said the same. They too would not repair or offer compensation monies. I found there is a recall in Canada for the same problem. The vehicle has always been garage kept in a heated area. There is no rust on the rest of the body. I was lucky that we were only going about 10MPH when this incident happened in Franklin PA. Two days prior we were driving on 79 South heading to Pittsburgh PA and going 65/70 MPH. Thank God it did not happen then. We do not have any repair estimates from the Honda North people, they simply said it was not something they would repair. I am still waiting for documentation from our Hartford Insurance claim.

Our Honda CRV has 180,000 mile on it. A couple months ago, a couple of the doors did not open for a few days and then start working again. It has done this a couple of times. I've read that many others have had this problem. The doors affected was the back drivers door and the back hatch. The times it happened I was starting to drive and I would hear the locks click closed and open several times.

Driver side door won't unlock. First time I tried to unlock all doors wouldn't unlock and I was trapped inside my car. Not electrical as windows proceeded to roll down/up. Dealership wants to and I quote "break door to see what problem is". I think not. Key fob doesn't unlock any door but key fob will lock all doors. Have to manually unlock at driver side door and then go enter passenger side door to enter vehicle. Safety hazard for sure.

I've recently noticed that the locks on my front passenger door and rear door are malfunctioning. Usually upon stopping and placing the vehicle in park, all doors unlock. However, now neither my front passenger door nor my rear door will unlock themselves upon stopping and parking. Further, these same locks will not respond to the remote entry unlock button. This concerns me because I regularly drive with my 2-year-old son, and now I'm afraid that the other doors will begin to malfunction as well, and potentially trap someone inside the car. Because this is a recent issue I've not had a chance to have the vehicle looked at, but I've read online about many other consumers with a similar issue in their Cr-vs, so I'd like to know more about remedies for this problem. Thanks in advance for your time in addressing this concern.

Takata recall was supposedly corrected at price Honda, camden de on 12/17/16. On 10/27/17 I was traveling on us rt 13sb at approx 30 mph when I unsuccessfully tried to stop and rear ended a 2008 GMC pick up truck. My front end sustained major damage but the air bag did not deploy. Both the emt and the police officer noted that the airbag should have deployed given the impact of the accident. I was taken by ambulance to kent general hospital dover de, where I had a ct scan and an mri and was diagnosed with a T1 compression fracture and injury to ligaments of C1,2,3. I am scheduled to see neurosurgeon 11/1/2017. My car was towed to chambers tow co viola, de 302-284-9655. I will attach photos for documentation.

Driving into 2 car garage located on circular 1 way street. Garage angled opposite way. Have to make a U turn and have car fully braked to enter garage. Park on left hand side; car completely stopped and was going to change from drive to park. Car revved up and headed toward right side of garage and crashed into house wall. Took out 8" of wall and destroyed part of foundation & wall. Fire dept. & ems called. I have preexisting conditions including cervical Fusion, spondylothesis, artifical knee. Both knees hit dashboard. After air bag popped, I looked to see my foot was still on brake. Car totaled.

Missing weld spots on the 2010 Honda CRV- rear left box of torque arm connecting wheel to body frame- major body structure defects-repaired once on Nov 18-19- problem came back again. Had a discussion with Honda regarding safety of body - I fear safety issues and want them to cancel the car lease and take the vehicle back- they are not agreeing and are referring me to the dealer. The dealer rick case, is referring me to Honda. When I told them I will report this to NHTSA, they asked me to go ahead- obviously they do not have much respect for the NHTSA. Can the NHTSA please help by conducting an investigation about whether this is a major safety issue before an accident occurs. Can the NHTSA instruct the manufacturer to take this car off the road until this is fixed to the customer's satisfaction?
