CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2014 Honda CR-V has a trend of engine hesitation when accelerating.

Honda has tried to fix this delayed acceleration with a software update, but many owners report it didn't fix the problem.

This defect trend is not quite bad enough yet for us to slap on the "Beware of the Clunker" seal. But it's a concern & definitely something to keep in mind for a test drive.

This is a common problem that has been voiced by many of the Honda CRV owners. Honda does not offer a solution or an alternate address to be installed. I have heard of people in any manner Ways bending the steel post on the headrest to straighten the headrest out somewhat. I have complained to the dealer on several occasions at one. They suggested give me a lumbar support and recommended one in the parts department which I bought. I try to fix it to the seat before I even left the dealer and the device did not even fit over the seat. When I returned it immediately to the sales clerk he was rather perturbed it was return that item after opening the package. I explained to him that what he recommended I use did that even fit over the seat and I had no alternative but to return it to him. In the meantime I have yet to find something to help make it more comfortable. Anyone who drives my car when we are traveling has the same complaint and gets tired of driving very quickly. When I am sitting in my seat driving, My head is angled downward with my chin nearly touching my chest, and I find myself looking almost over for my glasses as I’m driving. I have tried using a small rolled pillow behind my neck to create a more straight angle as my head touches the head rest. This does not work because the pillow slips and slides around and is a great distraction my driving. The other thing I have tried is leaving my seat back further so the head rest is not touching my head when I’m driving but then I am not getting the support of the back of the seat for my back. No matter how I look at it it is a very uncomfortable seat and headrest. I have regular and constant neck pain and shoulder pain because of it. Up until recently I had a long commute back-and-forth to work making a very uncomfortable drive especially when added with the stress of rush-hour traffic. I am constantly seeing others complaining with the same issues and still Honda has not offered any fixes are workarounds or replacement headrest. Please if anyone knows of something that I can do to remedy this serious problem let me know. I am not in a position to be able to trade in my car for a newer or different make and model since I have retired and I am on a very limited income.

The seats are so uncomfortable I can not drive for more than 10 minutes with out a back ache! So wish I had not purchased this car! The head rest is too far forward and the seat feels like you are sinking into an abyss! Haven't found a pad that can help push my back forward so it fits the headrest!

The driver's seat in my 2014 Honda CRV (purchased authorized pre-owned) is incredibly uncomfortable! I don't think the seat itself is long enough, and I'm only 5'1"! I thought the pain was just my body "adjusting" to my new (used) car, but after 4 months, I can honestly say it's not used to it at all! It's primarily lower back pain, and the lumbar support doesn't seem to help. I've tried adjusting the seat in every combination imaginable, but nothing is working. This is not something that would be obvious when test driving a car, so once it's purchased, you're stuck with it! I can't imagine taking this amazingly wonderful car (in every other way) on any long road trips, which I was hoping to do next summer. I've read similar complaints on several forums, and even read something about Honda replacing the seats with something less torturous. This is truly shocking for such a high quality vehicle from the world famous HONDA! I can see complaints that date back many years prior to 2014, so I'm even more shocked that nothing has been done to correct it by now! I would like to add my voice to those who are CRYING OUT for a replacement. I love this car so much, and I intend(ed) to grow old with it, but I have multiple sclerosis, so it's of the UTMOST IMPORTANCE that my body be physically comfortable, and most CERTAINLY not subject to something that could physically harm me, as I believe this seat will do.

Thank you for any information anyone can share regarding a solution to this major problem!

unbearable headrest & driver's seat. neck, hip, and back pain

I am having really bad neck and hip pain - so much so that I've had to go see a doctor, and chiropractor. I noticed the pain gets worse when I'm driving and immediately afterward and I also noticed it started about the same time I bought the car, in June 2015.

The headrest is angled too far forward to be comfortable for people who need to sit straight up. This is an unacceptable situation and there is a LOT of traffic on the internet about it.

Please provide a head rest that allows the angle to be adjusted back for those who have to sit up straight in the seat!

I love Hondas i have an older one but the new ones are soooooo uncomfortable. I have read a lot of complaints. my back is killing me and i'm trying to find a solution with cushions but haven't yet. may have to sell or trade in. I'm soooooo disappointed. This is so frustrating. what happened to the seats? I hate to take a huge hit and trade it in or sell it because of this but this is major pain in the butt - literally.
