CarComplaints.com Notes: Some vehicles alert you if you fall asleep behind the wheel, but the 2015 Honda CR-V has a different approach: just shake the heck out of you so you never fall asleep in the first place.

Owners have complained that the popular SUV shakes violently at idle and while driving. Buyer beware.

On 2/20/21 I took my car to a repair shop in San Diego and had my valve cover gasket replace and an oil change cost me $260.00. My car was idling low when stopped but in gear at lights or stop signs. As I drove around town for the week it was still idling low when stopped and in gear at lights and stop signs. So took to another repair shop in Encinitas where I had the ignition coils, spark plugs and throttle body cleaned which cost me $819.60.

I drove it around town for a couple days and still noticed my car idling low when in gear and stopped at lights and stop signs so I took my car back to the repair shop where they kept it over night and worked on it again. I drove it around again for a week in a half and still noticed it idling low when stopped while in gear at the stop signs and stop lights. I took it back again the the shop in Encinitas where again they kept it for another night to check out and again it continues to idle low at stop signs and stop lights.

The only way you're going to get Honda to fix this problem is if someone builds a Raspberry Pi to tweet Honda every single time it happens. Set up a robot to tell the world at every stop light when your Honda starts to vibrate.

Despite the car being under warranty, Honda will not fix the issue. Honda released a fix which either did not work correctly or the dealer did not perform correctly. Have tried bringing it in several times and they keep saying it is normal. Tried calling into Honda too and they did not seem to care.

So I have had the 3 fixes done to my 2015 Honda CRV that Honda came out with. However, after reviewing this website I am thinking that I have yet another problem. I have been calling Honda Since December (after I had the 3 fixes done) that when the car is in drive but stopped at a red light the car vibrates and the RPM drops to about 500-600. Causing the car to shake and vibrate. It gets worse as the car warms up and I have been driving for a while. Completely unacceptable that Honda is ignoring this issue each time I call them and inquire what is going on.

Idling problem noted after 250 KM. Increasing gotten worse, especially when making a left turn. Dealership says this is a software upgrade problem Honda has to fix, but won't unless they receive enough complains from consumers. Upsetting to buy a vehicle and to be told they won't fix it. Probability that a lot of Honda vehicles have this software problem is high.

RPM's occasionally drop to 500 at idle, when warm, and with ECON engaged. This causes the engine to run a little rough.

There is definitely a rough idle issue when sitting in gear. The RPM's seem to be too low ( around 600 ), this causes the car to shudder and vibrate more than usual. Sometimes I think it will just stall out. Unacceptable!

The engine idle speed is too low after the engine is warmed up. After driving around for a while, you will notice significant vibration when you are stopped at a red light. This only happens after the engine is warmed up and you are stopped. Lifting off the brake pedal, the engine speed climbs up slightly and the engine vibration stops immediately. A quick search on the internet will yield copious amount of other similar complaints on the idle speed when stopped.
