When shifting into park, the light on the dash wouldn't come on and so you can't get the key out of the ignition. Have to wiggle the shifter around till the light comes on. Took to dealership and they cleaned it out - kept happening. Took to independent mechanic and he replaced something called a "neutral sensor" ?? or something like that, very common problem in older civics. cost about 129 Canadian.
