I have a 95 Honda Civic vx I purchased new from the local dealer here in austin Texas. For the past couple of weeks my car would stall out on the highway and a couple of times around town for no reason at all, but would come back on a few seconds later. Today as I write this message I am waiting for a tow truck to come get me and my Honda Civic from the side of the road. My car finally died out today with the same symptoms as above but this time the car wouldn't start again. I can get the car to run if I only manually release the ignition key a little before the "on" position. If I let the key go all the way back to on to the normal "on position the car will not start. I notice the dash lights don't come on either when in the "on" position, but if I wiggle the key manually back and forth from the "on" position the dash light will come on. I'm going to the Honda dealer tomorrow to get them to pay for my tow and the switch. While on line researching problem I came across this "Honda service bulletin" www.visualimpressions.ca/switch/... this is a very very scary thing have your car die on you for no reason... Honda should have notified every Honda driver about this issue !! john
