I purchased this car with a cracked manifold and in the morning it was louder that normal but would quiet down after driving for 10-15 minutes. Purchased parts off the internet and replaced with after market replacement manifold. I couldn't find them in the junk yard because there are very few around.

Be sure to check the car when the engine is cold so you can hear the leak, otherwise after it heats up you can't hear it.

Civic LX 1.6L 4 cyl

i took off the heat shield to see where the coolant leak was coming from because at the time i thought it was a blown head gasket and wanted to confirm that, but when i took off the heat shield i looked at the exhaust manifold there was a crack extending from as far as i could see on the side with the engine block to the O2 censer. I started up the car so see if the surface was the only thing cracked, but felt the exhaust coming out so its cracked all the way through.
