The service engine light spontaneously came on while the consumer was driving and speed dropped to idling and would not respond to the accelerator pedal and there was an odd odor. The vehicle became normal right after the consumer turned off the engine and restarted it.
While driving could hear a knocking noise on engine, especially when warming up.consumer had taken vehicle to dealer, but no improvements of problem. The engine knock goes away in about 5 minutes after start up. The consumer feels that the engine was defective.

Engine knock while engine is cold, Honda confirms this is normal operation of a gas engine( per Honda news letter. Car has been maintained to schedule maintance, oil changes etc. I feel this is a defect in the motor, which if I had knew before hand I would have never purchased this vechile due to this under rated problem.
