CarComplaints.com Notes: Yes, the Honda Civic receives a lot of complaints because so many were sold. And sure, car parts only last so long and things eventually break. But it's never good to see this many transmission complaints, especially when the average mileage at failure is just north of 100,000 miles.

Especially when you consider that it's predecessor also has a nasty history with transmission complaints.

2002 bad year for Honda's. I have owned a 1976, 1981, 1997, 2002 and 2015 Honda's, will never purchase another Honda or recommend to friends/family. I am so discussed with how Honda does not care about their customers. I believe they know that they should have some responsibility but tell you sorry, car out of warranty.

Must have been caused by something being kicked up on the road, but the rear brake cylinder was leaking fluid. When I took it into the shop I almost had below the minimum amount of brake fluid necessary for the system to operate. The cylinder had to be replaced.
