CarComplaints.com Notes: Yes, the Honda Civic receives a lot of complaints because so many were sold. And sure, car parts only last so long and things eventually break. But it's never good to see this many transmission complaints, especially when the average mileage at failure is just north of 100,000 miles.

Especially when you consider that it's predecessor also has a nasty history with transmission complaints.

The engine air filter box the forward bolt retaining nuts for the top cover warp and the nut spins inside the plastic holder or chamber. There is a recall on the air filter box with this problem sine a piece can brake off and jam the T. valve open.. well I had mine replaced and had to have a letter with the recall.. that was at 34k miles at 65k miles the same thing happen.. this time they said since I had it replaced once I would have to pay for the replacement... part + labor + a day w/out my car estimated $300 to $400.....

So I upgrade to a knn in take kit.. problem solve....
