Consumer has a new Honda Civic. The SRS indicator light has not worked properly since he owned the vehicle. The SRS indicator light alerts consumer of potential problems with airbags or seat belts. The SRS light has been on since he first purchased vehicle. Took vehicle to dealer 4 times for the SRS light, and the light remained on. Dealer reset the computer, hoping the SRS light would not come on any more, but SRS light continued to come on. Also, dealer replaced passenger front seat, belt and this did not keep SRS light from coming on. Seat belt was replaced on May 12, 2005, vehicle was at dealer for SRS light on March 31, 2005, April 29, 2005 and June 2, 2005. Owners manual stated that ignoring the SRS indicator could result in serious injury or death if the airbag systems or sea tbelts do not work properly.
