Last night I was in a parking structure which happens to be down hill and a dead
end. I was looking for a parking space and as I was driving the the hill I missed a
parking spot, as I tried to reverse my vehicle to park my car on the space I had
passed my car continued to rolled down in REVERSE GEAR. AS I was rolling down
I hit my brakes and tried to switching gears. My car has Gear S and L, but none of
them worked and I just kept on going down the hill. Finally I just hit my brakes and
put my car in park. I ask for assistance and three gentlemen tried helping with no
success. My Car would just go forward instead of reverse. Finally I called the tow t
Truck to get me out of the hill. I had my car off for about 15 min with my emergency
lights on. I was blocking three cars and got yelled at for parking in such manner.
Finally the tow truck guy was able to just get into my vehicle and place it on reverse
and the car was able to back up the hill and do a U turn to exit the parking. I do not know if allowing the car to be shut down for 15 min, it allowed the computer to restart and allowed the gear to kick in but it was frustrating and scary. This has already
happen to me going up hill, the car rolls down on drive. I would be crazy to drive this c
car in San Francisco.
