Two of my tires are severely worn on just one side. I have had it in the shop twice over the past two and a half weeks. They first rotated the tires. I took it back because the front end was really shaking when I would brake at high speed. They said the rotors? needed sanding or something so I said okay. It is a bit better but today I found that I had a flat tire and took my car to the nearest tire dealer to have it fixed and he showed me my tires. They look awful. The fellows at the Honda dealership never mentioned that I might already need new tires. Boy was I hot. I called the fellow that sold me the car and he said that there had been some other Civics with this problem and that they will get it taken care of. I asked if they would give me new tires and he said they would probably have to prorate the price. I tell you one thing if I have to pay for those tires I will not be very happy.

As i said before about my Condenser, A PAIN IN THE ASS. Don't get the car it sucks. U run over some dirt you get a flat tire! who replaces 3 tires in 1 year????? and the representative at the store suggested that my last "good" tire be replaced to because it was worn. But Honda doesn't tell you about the safety bulletins that say that their is actually a default with the car that wears your tires early. Trust Me, call the Honda company not dealership and ask about the safety bulletins on your cars.

Honda has a service bulletin on the problem that I found online. They said it was a tire problem and that the tires were not rotated. I called "BS" on this and went to an independent tire shop who had been very helpful on a previous problem on another car. The rear alignment was right on but the front was off from when I purchased the car new. This can happen when the cars are tied down too tight. Anyway I went online and found that a lot of other owners are having the same problem. I downloaded a service bulletin that I found online and took it to the service manager, they called me back and set an appointment, I then asked what it will cost me? They said that they will furnish all parts including new tires, no charge, When I checked later they said that I would have to cover 75% of new cost. I purchased then myself at a better price. I have further found other websites with other owners are having the same problem...It seems that Honda has a design problem???

MY 2007 HONDA CIVIC IS NOT EVEN A YEAR OLD AND I NEED TO SPEND $440 TO FIX IT!! THIS IS WITH THE $2500 EXTENDED WARRANTY AND TIRE SERVICE WARRANTY!!!!! THERE ARE 25,000 MILES OF HIGHWAY DRIVING ON THE CAR, BUT AT 10,000 THE SOUND AND VIBRATION WERE NOTICEABLE. NO ONE WANTS TO REPLACE OR CHECK ALIGNMENT WITHOUT COST, WHICH IS WHAT YOU BUY AN EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR???!!!!! UNFLIPPINBELIEVEABLE!! THE TIRES ARE WORN IN A STRIATION PATTERN, NOT JUST WORN DOWN WHICH MEANS SOMETHING WAS WRONG FROM THE BEGINNING!!!!!

Noticed the problem in April but thought it was just me. Kept getting louder and louder and I could tell it was coming from the rear. Took it back to dealer and they called me and told me it was uneven wear on my tires due to the way the tires are tilted on the back. Their suggestion was to have new suspension put on and they would realign the tires and see if that would help. I asked if this was something other people were complaining about and he said yes it tends to be a problem with the Civic. They would not replace the tires though which I think is not right, since this seems to be a manufacturing error. Hopefully this will help some. I have a 1990 Honda Civic with 187,000 miles on it and it has never had any major problem. I love my car otherwise but this definitely should be something the Honda corp. should address.
