When applying the break after entering a fast food drive thru my car suddenly accelerated almost hitting the car in front of me. I had to throw the emergency brake on to get the car to stop. I could hardly believe what happened. I looked down at my foot to make sure I had my foot on the break pedal and sure enough it was. My foot was more on the right side of the pedal but it was not touching my accelerator. At first I brushed it off thinking I was just crazy and it had to be something I did until it happened 2 additional times. One of those times almost running over a pedestrian. This is so dangerous and scares the hell out of me. I now make sure my foot hits the left side of the break pedal. It hasn't happened to me since. But now my 16 year old son is driving my car. I had forgotten about this issue until he reported the same thing happened to him, more than once. This is a very dangerous issue that needs to be addressed by Honda. This is not a "mat" issue because I took the driver mat out of my car, this is definitely a defect.
