The leather on the Touring model is of sub-par quality and workmanship for even Lada or Skoda standards. The seat stitching is coming apart and Honda's solution is "It's the characteristics of the new 2016 Honda Civic" and they won't replace it. Apparently leather separating at the seams is normal because Honda's engineer claims that this car is mass produced. Having said that, there is nothing I can do to fix this leather seat from falling apart unless I pay for it myself while under warranty. "DO NOT BUY THIS CAR...IT IS RIDDLED WITH QUALITY AND WORKMANSHIP ISSUES IN EVERY CATEGORY THAT YOU CAN THINK OF." Honda has the worst customer service that I have ever experienced with a auto manufacturer. I am not alone with Honda's disgust...trust me.

Very rarely is someone in the back seat of my car (no kids, single). I had one friend sit in the back just one time and the stitching is coming apart. I told Honda and Honda said "it's been used, therefore it must have been the passengers fault". That's a nice way of telling me to go f-myself for a replacement.

Will never buy a Honda again not just to their slipping quality and greediness (make as much money for investors as possibly can) but to their arrogant behavior to the hands that fed them.

f you notice the complaints on the 2016 Civic at around 96 for a 10 month period that it's been on sale to the consumer. The 2005 Civic has 116 which is only 20 more but with over 10 years more time lap for complaints. That should raise enough flags about this car.

stitching coming apart on the back seat

I don't know how long this has been a problem but I just noticed it today when I vacuumed the car. The stitching on the seat of the back passenger seat is coming apart. This is absolutely unacceptable since I've only had the car for 10 days. AND someone has only ridden in that seat about 5 times. This is unacceptable for a brand new car.
