Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

The contact owns a 2007 Honda Fit. The vehicle was parked and the contact stated whenever there were heavy rains, water leaked into the vehicle from the driver's side window seal. While attempting to open the driver's side door utilizing the manual entry, the key failed to insert into the door latch. The contact received a recall letter under NHTSA campaign id number 10V033000 (visibility: Power window devices and controls). The recall stated in severe rain conditions, water may enter the driver's window and reach the master power window switch. The vehicle was taken to the dealer which stated the door failure was not associated with the recall. There were no repairs performed on the vehicle. The contact was upset due to the result of water damage to the door locks and the vehicle not included with the recall. The failure mileage was 60,000. The current was approximately 67,000.
