Two days after buying a 2015 Honda Civic EX (with less than 200 miles on the car): the TPMS light came on and will not turn off. We've tested the tire pressure and it is fine. From what I have Googled, this seems to be a very common problem with this model. I really do not think after driving a car less than 48 hours that there should be an issue like this.

We were having a nice day driving to the beach and the TPMS light comes on. Visually checked the tires and none of them looked obviously flat, so I fetched the handy dandy dial pressure gauge. Turns out they were all inflated to 40 psi from the dealer, a bit over the recommended 33 front 32 rear, but didn't seem too ridiculously out of spec.

The TPMS light never came on before so why is it on now? It's not like the tires magically inflated themselves an extra 8 lbs, I realize the tires warm up a bit as I drive, but 8 lbs? Anyway, I lowered the pressure to the recommended specs in the door jamb and the light is still on. I inflate the tires back up to 40 psi and it's still on. Now I gotta call the dealer tomorrow and figure out what's the deal.

Third time the car is going back to the dealer, although the other occasions were due to cosmetic and quality control issues.

I bought a Honda Fit because several friends have told me what great cars Honda makes. I've only had my Honda Fit for 14 days and already I need to take it in to the dealer. The TPMS indicator light came on so I stopped at my tire shop to have the air checked in the tires. They made sure they were all up to recommended PSI but light is still on. Now I need to take it in to the dealer and leave it for several hours so they can troubleshoot and/or reset the sensors. Apparently, this needs to be done every time you put air in the tires. Really??

I hope this is not a precursor of things to come, as I otherwise love my car! Is the honeymoon over already???
