Door on driver side has been problematic for 2 years. Originally just seizing up in cold weather. Would need to lock door to ensure it would stay closed and /or not able to open driver door , esp. from the inside until vehicle warmed up. Had in for service but of course would never seize then because already driving for awhile or not cold out. Dealer Sprayed some lubricant in the door but made no real difference. Now we're into summer and door wouldn't close without being locked the other night. Now can't open it from inside or out(power lock in open position). Have to crawl in and out the passenger door. Have service appointment next week with dealer.
Update from Jun 10, 2009: The Cable inside the door (plus a few accessory Parts) need replacing. The was a service bulliten re: the cable freezing up in cold weather and needing lubrication. This is an issue we had to deal with but apparently our vehicle didn't fall within the vehicles identified as having that particular problem. Dealer says that wasn't the problem , at least according to Honda - despite having the same symptoms as the vehicles that were identified as having the problem.
My guess is the wear and tear caused by the cold weather issues has led to the failure but won't be covered by any type of warranty according to the dealer. Was $150 for labor to diagnose the problem. Of course no part in stock, so door all back togrether until part comes in and will be the same 2 hours labor all over again plus whatever labour to fix problem, installing new parts plus cost of parts. To boot they cracked the hard plastic molding on the inside that is part of the driver side mirror support. They didn't happen to mention - I had to notice on the drive home and then bring it to their attention to order the part to replace while doing the other job.
I am in the process of appealing to Honda Canada to provide some ownership of this problem and cover cost of parts and repairs. We'll see. Prior to owning I read much about their good will protection - I've haven't seen much to date.
