The contact owns a 2005 Honda Odyssey. While driving approximately 50 mph he heard a peculiar noise coming from the front end of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for inspection. The technician stated the failure was contributed to air bubbles in the steering fluid. The steering fluid was drained and replaced. The failure occurred fours months after the service repair. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer for the identical failures, and the technician stated that the power steering pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle has not been repaired. The failure mileage was 56,000. The current mileage was 75,000.

Power steering pump created whining noise which the dealer determined was a defective pump. Mileage was about 13K when bought to dealer. Noise was present after long drives (30 mins or more). Power steering pump replaced. New power steering pump has started developed low level noise again.
