Have a recurring issue with TPMS light on my Honda mini-van. Have been to the dealer several times to have it looked at, the code coming back is "radio frequency third wheel", and this light on the dashboard will not shut off. The dealer told me this is something they cannot fix. Honda Corp needs to acknowledge the problem and inform dealers how to fix the TPMS indicator light. I have read that smart phones, laptops, etc can cause this problem, which should not even be an issue. I will always have my smart phone with me for safety purposes. Technology should never be an interference issue with TPMS. This indicator jolts/scares me when it comes on, most times on the highway nearly causing an accident. The dealer today told me to put black tape over the lights so they don't bother me, that was their answer!! not acceptable.....updated 11/13/15 I went to a non-Honda repair shop who fixed the faulty sensor and all is good with the van. The Honda dealer was incorrectly telling me that it was a radio frequency error due to the electronics in my car. I went to another place, who diagnosed and fixed the TPMS perfectly. Updated 11/18/15.

The tire pressure monitoring system warning came on after seasonal wheel/tire change by tire dealer. Each time that the tire dealer tried to program the Honda system it malfunctioned after approximately 24 hours of operation. All parts are of Honda manufacture. During the periods of that TPMS flashed on the instrument panel one has no way of knowing if tires are safely inflated. I was forced to drive over 200 miles over 3 days in order to reach a Honda dealer. The dealer "found TPMS sensors were not programmed to vehicle... reprogrammed sensors". I understand that Honda is unique among auto manufacturers in it's TPMS system not being serviceable by the tire industry that the public must rely on for safe operation of Honda cars.

Bought the Odyssey 2011 exl and drove for 100 miles. Then the TPMS lights came on and stayed on for ever. Taken an appoint with Honda service and they would like to adjust the tire pressure. Still need to take it to the dealer and see what they say.

There seems to be an interference between using a bluetooth phone when paired with the vehicles hands free link system (hfl) and the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS). Vehicle was brand new off the truck (only 4 miles on it) and as soon as my iphone 4 was paired with the vehicles hfl system, the TPMS failed. I've researched online forums and am seeing a growing list of owners reporting the same issue.

Bought the Odyssey 2011 exl and drove for 5 miles from the dealor when the TPMS lights came on and stayed on for ever. Taken an appoint with Honda service and they would like to adjust the tyre pressure. Another dealter would like to reset the whole sensor settings. By talking to them, I felt that they are not much aware about this frequent issue.

Purchased 2011 Honda Odyssey on 3/19. Upon leaving the dealership the TPMS (tire pressure monitering system) light illuminated and stayed on. Stays on even with engine restart. Tire pressures were above door post recomendations. Dealer requires return of the vehicle for inspection.

I purchased a brand new 2011 Honda Odyssey touring elite 4 weeks ago. As I drove home from the lot my TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) light came on and stayed on. I immediately drove back to the dealer service center. Initially they thought it was just tire pressure but quickly realized it was an actual error of the TPMS system. One of the techs said he has seen this on one other 2011 Odyssey and that it is triggered by smart cellular phone interference. He told me it would probably happen again if I used my cell phone in the van. So they reset the TPMS error and I turned off my cell and drove for 30 minutes with no issues. So then I turned my cell phone on, and still no issues for another 5 minutes. Then my wife called and at the exact moment my cell phone rang the TPMS went into error again. So the service center tells me this is something they can't fix. They are waiting for a fix from Honda. When I submitted the case to Honda Corp customer care they say that this is not a "known issue" and that they are not actively working on a resolution for it. When TPMS error occurs the TPMS system is completely disabled automatically by the vehicle computer. Therefore, my van currently does not have TPMS protection. I just spoke with my dealer service center again and they tell me they now have 5 reports of this same problem on 2011 Odyssey elites.
