CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2014 and 2015 Honda Odyssey shows an early trend of transmission problems with clunking/jerking when shifting gears.

Most of these Odyssey transmissions are still under warranty, but so far Toyota generally hasn't been able to diagnose or fix the clunking problem — that's the reason for our low rating. Some owners have reported it was a stuck solenoid, & in a few cases Honda has replaced the entire transmission.

As more of these Odysseys start exceeding the 60,000-mile powertrain warranty limit, buyer beware.

This issue with the radio/information center has been a continual issue. The radio has been replaced 3 times under warranty. This last replacement has begun to show the same issues. Originally the system would complete lock up and become unresponsive until the battery was unplugged and radio completely reset. Currently, it will lock up intermittently for a few minutes, but I expect the issue to degrade. Since this is tied into the system, there is no other option than to replace the radio, which we're currently holding off on.

Have had possession of this vehicle for only 4 days. When the vehicle was turned on, the display computer(s) immediately malfunctioned.

--Center display screen was black, and only showed the rear camera grid line overlay. No amount of button pushing changed this. --However, when put in reverse, the rear camera turned on, but the grid lines disappeared. The grid lines reappeared on a black screen when taken out of reverse and placed in any other gear. --Audio display panel non-functioning. No display/no touch response. Music still playing. --Right turn side camera functioned as expected and appeared normally on the display. However, when turn completed, display went back to black with the grid line overlay. --Connectivity at the time: 1 phone connected via Bluetooth. 1 iPod connected via USB. --Weather was clear and temperate, around 50 F. --Vehicle had been parked for 30 mins after driving all morning. Sun had been shining on dash while parked, but dashboard wasn't hot. --Rest of mechanical/electrical appeared to be operating normally, but unknown how deep the error went. --Shutting vehicle off then restarting rebooted the system to normal operation. No subsequent error notices or glitches appeared after restarting. --Unable to duplicate...yet.

I immediately drove the vehicle to Honda dealer that sold us the vehicle. Service rep witnessed the malfunctioning display, but since the system returned to normal when restarting the vehicle, they said it was impossible to repair or even evaluate without being able to reproduce the issue.
