They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. The contact owns a 2005 Hummer H2. While driving at approximately 30 mph, another vehicle made an improper left turn and crashed into the front driver side of the contact's vehicle. The air bag light warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle would not move forward after the accident occurred and the air bags failed to deploy. The contact stated that the air bag module for the SRS was discontinued. There were no injuries sustained. A police report was filed. The vehicle was diagnosed with impact sensor and SRS failure. The manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage was 113,687.

2005 Hummer H2. Consumer writes in regards to air bag module problems. The consumer took the vehicle to the dealer, due to a red light indicating the air bag needed to be replaced. When the consumer arrived at the dealer, she was informed the air bag module part, had been discontinued. The consumer has been unsuccessful at trying to find the part.

The vehicle was not inspected by a dealer or an independent mechanic. The manufacturer was contacted and they offered no assistance. The failure and current mileages were approximately 130,000. The VIN was unavailable.
