The contact owns a 2006 Hummer H3. While driving at approximately 70 mph, there was smoke and an odor coming from the air conditioner. The cruise control failed and the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was able to restart after a few attempts. The vehicle was driven to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the cam actuator needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000.
