They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. The contact owns a 2009 Hummer H3T. The contact owns a 2008 evenflo discovery child seat, model number 5391855A, manufactured on 3/25/08. The contact observed when the child was properly secured rearfacing in an "infant" child restraint seat; the plastic shield attachment broke. The child restraint seat was installed using the latch system. The contact is in the process of notifying the manufacturer of the safety concerns. The failure mileage was 12,000. The VIN was unknown.
