Recall number 18V026000 recall date 01/09/2018 component service brakes, hydraulic:antilock Hyundai recalls Azera and sonata for fire dangers January 24, 2018 ' Hyundai is recalling about 88,000 model year 2006-2011 Hyundai Azera and 2006 Hyundai sonata cars because the engine compartments may catch on fire. On 1/10/18, 2 weeks prior to this recall my 2008 Hyundai Azera caught fire in my basement while it was parked and no key was in the ignition. This happened at 3:30am, our entire house, including both of our vehicles were destroyed. Nothing was salvageable. The automaker reveals in the government documents that water could enter the anti-lock brake module and cause an electrical short, which increases the risk of fire whether the vehicle is on or off. Hyundai says the recall is scheduled to begin on Feb. 23, and that all necessary repairs will be made by dealers free of charge. Here is an article that clearly states what could possibly happen with the recall. Hyundai has yet to accept responsibility. Https://www.mlive.com/auto/2018/01/hyundai_recalls_around_88K_old.html

I purchased my Hyundai Azera 2008N used 2 years ago and have had minor issues with it. The heated seats cannot be turned off, the air bags do not work on the passenger side, brakes had a recall, and now gaskets are blown on the engine. I have spoke with the dealership and because its a whole new crew, the old crew was let go, they do not want to help with getting another car for me. Tony, the salesperson, . did try by passing me on to another dealership and they cannot help me. My car needs to be paid down some before any dealership will touch it.

This is not the first time I had problems breaking I actually had my master cylinder replaced as well as my break pads. I was pulling up to a stop light today going only about 12 miles per hour as I was in a business area. I was pulling up to a stop light already breaking at 12 miles per hour or less my car speed off on its on running the red light! I almost had a heart attack. Lucky no cars was in front of me. I replaced my break pads thinking that was the problem. I had my master cylinder replaced as well so that's not the problem. Has anyone else with my car been in an accident with my car?

My mother pulled in my driveway to park. The car made a weird sound and then accelerated at a quick speed. She pressed on the brakes and had skid marks to prove it, but the car would not stop. She ran into the next door neighbor's brick house. This happened on an easter Sunday. My sister was in the front seat. My mother had abrasions from the seat belt and severe bruises to the chest from the air bag. My sister had bruising to her ribs and her leg was cut, which resulted in 5 stitches.

While driving, suddenly ABS indicator, ESC off indicator and "ABS system failure" message on dashboard showed up and had to make emergency stop since all of these scared me. Also scared me that vehicle's ABS and stability control stop working. - after started driving slowly - some noise from front wheels were coming. Went to dealer and told us that issue with "wheel speed sensor" and "tone wheel" damaged.. why these sensors are exposed to road and damaged suddenly that make safety issue during driving and may have caused accident.
