They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Airbag I brought my car in to have the airbag and dash checked by Hyundai dealer in West palm beach Florida. The dash around my airbag has cracked in a perfect line at the air bag location photo attached. They refused to check the airbag. However they contacted Hyundai and asked for dash replacement. Hyundai was willing to pay for the dash part but not any labor to install new dash or to check my airbag to make sure it will not go off. I am asking for help to get my airbag checked and also have the dash removed and replaced by Hyundai. I am very concerned that this passenger airbag is affected by the recall. I need this checked out before an insistent happens. Please help. They also refused to put anything in writing. Phone case number 8648772.

The contact owns a 2010 Hyundai Genesis. While driving, the brake pedal was depressed and traveled to the floorboard. As a result, the vehicle crashed into a ditch. The vehicle was serviced under NHTSA campaign number: 13V489000 (service brakes, hydraulic). The air bags did not deploy. There were no injuries and a police report was not filed. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the hydraulic electronic control unit needed to be replaced. The passenger fender needed to be repaired and the front passenger tire needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 52,000.
