I have taken my vehicle to the Hyundai dealer 3 times & one time they claimed the tech heard the rattle noise coming from the drivers front side of the vehicle when going over bumps. They thought is was a stabilizer link, so they replaced it. This did not stop the noise. A tech drove the car after these repairs, when I complained the noise still existed & confirmed they heard something. Left the car at the dealer for 3 days only to find out that they could not find any problem. Still driving the car & still hearing the noise. All the dealer can tell me is there are so many parts that are involved in the suspension on this vehicle that the problem will likely have to get worse before it gets better, seriously. This is not the most expensive car on the market, but also is not the cheapest. Hyundai has made the strides to enter into the luxury flagship sedan world, so they should live up to the competitive world they entered. I really like my car & wish they could figure this out.

I purchased this car on July 8th 2014. I noticed that there were several knocking noises emitting inside the cabin when traveling over uneven roads. These noises are loud clicks and pops and other strange low level knocks and creaks, but these noises are not limited to just uneven roads. I get them just backing out of the garage. The first time I took it in for this issue the car sat in service for 5 days. After I called to find out what was going on, they hoisted the car up, greased the undercarriage and tightened some loose bolts (really there were loose bolts! according to the service record) and I was told to see if that solved the issue. It did not. I brought the car back and was informed by the mechanic at the time that far short of ripping the car apart which is likely to introduce further issues that there was not much that could be done. I asked him what others would do and he stated they just turn up the radio!!

I lived with this issue (which has gotten worse) until April this year (2015). The issue is totally annoying and can even be heard above the radio playing and is irritating to say the least. The car has now been back 5 times for this issue. Every mechanic has heard these noises, they have tried several times to fix this including putting squeak kits in the rear doors (which were also creaking), they pulled the back seat and tightened up some metal plate on the back of the seat, they took the right rear interior quarter panel off and did some tightening of parts there and they also found a problem with the right rear strut. None of which has solved the problem.

Now the car has been back five times for this same complaint. I took the matter up with the dealer management and waited nearly two months for a regional engineer to come and look at the issue. That never happened. I am now dealing with the owner of the dealership and am on my last straw with this.

Each time I took the car in for this issue I was given a 2015 Genesis loaner and at least one of them have the same issue I have reported about my car.

I will report what happens next.

In the meantime, 2015 Genesis owners, listen to the back of your vehicle and if you hear strange noises, don't discount them, report them its the only way Hyundai will hear our voice.
