I have had so many problems with my car. The first problem began years ago with the low beam headlights. I have to replace the headlights for both right and left side about 5 to 6 times per year. This can get very expensive especially if I were to get a ticket. The second problem are the rear tires. I noticed about two years ago that the tires get worn out much quicker than the others, so I'm constantly rotating them. Just recently, it has become worse. Just this year, I have replaced tires twice and have noticed that I need another set of tires. Have taken the car to a mechanic, but can not find anything wrong with the rear-end. The last issue that just happened a few months ago is the passenger visor. It suddenly fell out of its socket and eventually was hanging by its wires. After trying to put the visor back into its socket a few times, it eventually broke off. Have not ordered another yet. Didn't realize how expensive they are.

Second set of tires cupping. First set replaced at 23000 miles. Current tires bad at 58000 miles. Have no reason for this. Tire rotation done every 5000 miles. Tires not over-inflated. Not alignment issue, although alignment was done and bolts replaced at 23000 miles. Sounds like a Hyundai suspension problem.

2007 Hyundai Santa Fe; front right tire locks up while driving. This has happened at various speeds 5 mph to 70 mph for the past 2 years. I have had the tires rotated to ensure that it is not a particular tire. I have had the dealer look at the SUV, they said they could not replicate the problem. The dealer states all recall items have been addressed, but our problem still occurs. My wife did an 800 mile trip last month with no problems, the following week she complained it happened 4 times in one week. The ESC off light has turned on in conjunction with these events, however there have been times when the ESC off light will turn on, but no incidents with the tire locking has occurred. In the cases of higher speeds 50+ the tire will lock, speeds will decrease, of course with the tire dragging the car pulls. I will swerve the car back and forth to see if the tire will unlock. Once I was in an hov lane it almost brought us to a stop with no shoulders to get the car out of traffic. Once at low speed (5 mph) coming out of a parking lot the tire locked up and did not release bring the car to a stop, my wife stated that she had to pump the brakes to get it to release. The problem is intermittent, I can not get it to fail on demand, or know what causes it to do so. In the event for the ESC off light, bumpy roads will trigger that, for example a particular highway in las vegas was widened the widened area is not a very smooth ride. 30 seconds into the area the ESC off light will appear. That I can replicate. But the tire has never stopped rotating in this section. Once on rural highway in Arizona, once in hov lane in las vegas, dozens of times on local streets, 8 times on highways at freeway speeds. My wife and I are alert while driving, there are no warnings when this will occur, however once it does occur we are able to respond quickly to the tire dragging/pulling (not spinning) have been fortunate no accidents.

Please conduct an investigation into numerous complaints regarding premature tire wear, suspension and steering in 2007 Santa Fe. I think they are connected and affect each otherby poor design or manufacturing process. Purchased as new vehicle in 12/2007. Noticed wobble in steering wheel a different speeds, conditions at 3K miles. Dealer found nothing wrong. Noticed rattle and klunking noise in left front when driving on uneven pavement at 12K miles. No dealer or mechanic could diagnose anything wrong. Replaced all 4 tires at 26K because front right tire worn to belt on inside. All wheels aligned at same time. Still had wobble, vibration at different speeds, accelerating, coasting, etc. Numerous balancing and rotations. Mechanic could not find anything wrong. At 31K, replaced sway bars and links, had wheels bearings serviced. Still wobbling, rattle in front end and uneven steering. At 32K, had wheel bearings repacked, another front end alignment, and all wheels, tires recalibrated to Hyundai specifications. Vehicle drove perfectly...for 3 days. All rattles, noises, wobbles, uneven steering problems returned. Going back to dealer 3rd time in 1 month. Rattle and wobble gets worse everyday. Don't feel safe driving this vehicle. I drive 15 miles to and from work on small expressway in austin, tx. No off roading, no pulling any trailers. Only hail damage to exterior. No front end collisions, engine problems or suspension damage before these problems were noticed. (small collision at 30,500K. I was at stop, driver in back rear-ended me at 5mph. My front end tapped car in front of me. Dealer body shop replaced front bumper "shock absorbers. No damage to frame or suspension. Is this a subframe problem, axle assembly issue or what? lots of comments/complaints on internet regarding problems like this. Again, I do not feel safe driving this car any further than to and from work. Cannot afford to trade in, buy different vehicle..

2007 Hyundai Santa Fe - the tires are prematurely wearing out. Every 15 months or so the tires must be replaced. Good tires and rotated regularly. There is something wrong. There are too many other people with the same problem. The dealer has replaced sway/tie rods, aligned tires, still tires wear out. Vehicle is still under warranty but the cost of the tires comes out of my pocket. Something must be done to identify the cause of this.

I own a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe. I now have 50K on my vehicle and I am going on my third set of tires. The last set of tires I bought cost just under $900. It has been back to the dealer three times with about five phone calls and every time they tell me that they know nothing about this problem and no one else has this problem. I have had it aligned but no changes were made because everything is within specs. Just had it back to the dealer to check suspension and again to find the same problem, but once again they said nothing is wrong. But yet I am wearing the insides off of my tires about every 20K. There has to be a fix for this but Hyundai tells me there is nothing wrong. This prob has to be known about because it is all over the internet.
