Got a letter in the mail that a recall was given to Almost ALL Hyundais years 1999-2004 for a VERY serious suspension problem

.The sub-frame sits under the engine between the front wheels of the car. It serves as the sole steering support for the Sonata and anchors front suspension.

Cars with sub-frame corrosion may experience high levels of sub-frame deterioration, steering control arm separation and steering loss, which can lead to accidents

THE LOWER CONTROL ARM MAY DETACH FROM THE SUB-FRAME.

Well, I took the car in after I got the letter and SURE enough, IT was corroded, and could have caused a fatal car crash, It had to be repaired.. when I looked online, I saw many many owners of hyundai had crashed or have had the same issue, it very common.. Please check your hyundai and all recalls!
