Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

The contact owns a 2008 Hyundai tuscon. While driving at 15 mph, the electronic stability control (ESC) light illuminated on the instrumental panel and the stability control activated. Driving in heavy snow in December 2009 and twice in January 2010. I applied the brakes. The anti lock brake system will not stop the car within 20 to 30 feet of the car ahead. I have to divert off road to avoid rear ending the car in front of me. Reported the problem and incidents to the dealership. The car was test driven on dry pavement. I was told there was no problem the anti lock brake system is performing fine.
