Due to the car being keyless and the key fob being a proximity fob, if the fob is not recognized by the car it cannot be started. The problem occurred about three times before it became permanent. It started out only temporarily not working and after a few tries it would eventually start. Finally, it just stopped working altogether. The car had to be towed to our local dealership, Ideal Hyndai in Frederick, md. By the way, they are horrible at customer service. I loathe going there for repairs.

This car has had many electrical problems. Not even 3 months old and the passenger power window motor stopped working and had to be replaced. The drivers power window now opens and closes very slowly. No doubt it needs to be replaced and the passenger side is again opening and closing slowly.

My console back lights around the radio controls does not stay lit. At night I cannot see the controls for the radio or DVD.

Both sets of my key fobs are no longer locking or unlocking the doors. Dealer says we need new fobs and programming and it is only going to cost over $600.00!! My car is Not under warranty.

My electric rear door hatch rattles when I'm driving as if it is not closed securely. For some reason it doesn't securely close or comes loose during driving. Very annoying.

My catalytic converter has now gone bad and needs replacing. Come to find out, there are no aftermarket converters made for this car. Can only get from manufacturer. Not good. $1,300.00 repair. Not under warranty. Also, I only get about 16-17 mpg on gas mileage.

My ESC Light comes on and off at will. I'm not sure but I think it has a mind of its own.

The front passenger electric seat does not move forward or backward. Once and a while it will work but only if you play with it for awhile. It must be lonely.

Other than these items, the car has been fine. Electrical issues are a major headache.

I had to purchase new key fobs and have them reprogrammed to the car. Each fob cost $250.00 and $55.00 to reprogram each one. Never again will I buy a proximity key fob.
