Consumer received recall 00V058000 concerning rear axle failure. Called to set up an appointment, and dealer said when parts would came in consumer would get a call. However, dealer never called.

Recall 00V058000/rear axle: Repairs were done, within a month or less, vehicle surged forward, lost control and skidded across the sidewalk into the median. Front right and rear right tires were damaged. Minor repairs made by road service, and consumer drove to dealer the next day. Dealer cannot duplicate problem.

While driving at 15 mph consumer heard a grinding sound. When turning steering wheel it was very loose, causing consumer to lose control in second gear. Consumer put car in first gear and started to drive about 5 mph and another passenger noticed something hanging from the back. Noticed a screw was missing. Consumer took car to dealer and was told that the rear axle bolt was missing.
