Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

As seen at the following web site,, headlight leveling mechanisms on Jaguar vehicles fail at a high rate causing the lights to only the ground approximately 20 feet around the vehicle. At over $1100 each, most owners opt to live with the unsafe condition rather than spend the money. The site shown above provides a home remedy, which may not be the safest recommendation. I have contacted Jaguar na customer relations on several occasions and have been unable to sway them to do the right thing and replace the defective lighting mechanisms. The reduced lighting greatly reduces a drivers reaction time to a avoid road hazards, especially at higher rates of speed. Both mechanisms are currently broken on our vehicle at less than 20,000 miles.
