Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

2006 Jaguar S-Type Owner Comments

problem #1

Nov 052002

On my 2000 S-type 4.0 I have had two transmissions replaced and is in need of a third. Jaguar's position (from corporate), that it is not unusual for a transmission to go under 50,000 miles, however, they refuse to put it in writing. There are probably hundreds if not thousands of owners going through the same problem. On every website there are complaints about failing transmissions. Jaguar definitely is aware of the problem but offers no assistance. I am willing to bet there is some corporate memo regarding how to cover this up.
