They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. The contact owned a 2006 Jaguar S-type. The contact was driving approximately 20 mph approaching an intersection when another vehicle crashed into the front of the contacts vehicle. The contacts vehicle was pushed forward rapidly and as she attempted to apply the brakes, the brakes would not engage and she proceeded to crash into the vehicle a second time. The contact sustained injuries to the shoulders and neck. A police report was filed. The vehicle body damage was repaired by an independent mechanic who was unable to locate a failure within the brakes. Over a year later while driving 20 mph, the contact crashed into the curb. She attempted to apply the brakes but to no avail. The vehicle then abnormally accelerated until the she crashed into a tree. The contact sustained a broken right arm and injuries to the hands and wrist from the deployment of the air bags. The contact was transported to the hospital via ambulance. A police report was filed. The vehicle was destroyed. The failure mileage was 28,000.
