Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

2002 Jaguar X-Type Owner Comments

X-Type 2.5L

As I said this noise increases at accelerating I replaced all of the wheel, pullers and serpentine belt to no effect. This noise "siren type" seems to be coming from where the oil sensor is. At removing the oil cap the noise is not from engine belt. It is so difficult to diagnose I just wonder if any one out there had this happened to their 2002 X Type Jaguar and is able to share some light into this your help is really appreciated. I bought this Jag new, the millage 92,000. No crashes just normal maintenance and use. Thanks.
