The contact owns a 2011 Jaguar Xf. The contact stated that it took several attempts to start the vehicle. In addition, while driving, white smoke and fuel appeared from the rear of the vehicle and the check engine warning indicator illuminated. The contact was able to coast the vehicle to the side of the road. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence. The vehicle was later taken to Jaguar of greensboro (1205 bridford pkwy, greensboro, nc 27047, (336) 299-1500) where it was diagnosed that the high compression fuel pump, ball joint, and fuel injectors needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired due to the repair fees. The manufacturer was notified of the failures and informed the contact that the warranty would not cover the repairs. The approximate failure mileage was 109,000.

The contact owns a 2011 Jaguar Xf. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 15 mph, a restricted performance warning light illuminated. The contact also stated that the vehicle was shaking and there was fuel odor present. The contact shut off the vehicle and attempted to restart the vehicle but failed. The vehicle was towed to a dealer, who diagnosed that there was fuel leaking and the fuel injector failed. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 12V521000(fuel system, gasoline). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 73,000.
