    • Date Announced: APRIL 20, 2016
    • Vehicles Affected: 5

    Summary: Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Jaguar) is recalling certain model year 2009, 2011, 2012 and 2015 XF vehicles manufactured February 6, 2008 to October 20, 2014. In the affected vehicles, the driver frontal air bags may be missing a chemical enhancer required for the second stage deployment, resulting in the second stage deploying improperly in certain crashes.

    Consequence: An air bag that inflates improperly increases the risk of injury.

    Actions: Jaguar will notify owners, and dealers will replace the driver frontal air bag module, free of charge. The recall began on May 5, 2016.   2. 2012 Jaguar XF FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE, FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:STORAGE:TANK ASSEMBLY NHTSA Campaign #12V521000

    • Date Announced: OCTOBER 26, 2012
    • Vehicles Affected: 4,195

    Summary: Jaguar is recalling certain model year 2010-2012 XF vehicles equipped with a 5.0L gasoline engine. The affected vehicles may have a fuel tank fuel outlet flange that may crack.

    Consequence: The cracked flange may result in fuel leakage onto the ground. This leaking fuel, in the presence of an ignition source, may result in a vehicle fire.

    Actions: Jaguar will notify owners, and dealers will replace the affected fuel tank fuel outlet flanges, free of charge. The recall began on December 20, 2012.   3. 2012 Jaguar XF EQUIPMENT:OTHER:LABELS NHTSA Campaign #11V604000

    • Date Announced: DECEMBER 28, 2011
    • Vehicles Affected: 51

    Summary: Jaguar is recalling certain model year 2012 Xf vehicles, manufactured from September 7, 2011, through November 24, 2011, for an incorrect certification label. Since the gross vehicle weight rating (gvwr) is stated incorrectly, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of part 567, ┐certification.┐

    Consequence: Customers may unknowingly exceed the gvwr. Exceeding the gvwr of the vehicle, can lead to loss of vehicle stability, increasing the risk of a crash.

    Actions: Jaguar will notify owners, and dealers will replace the label. This service will be performed free of charge. The safety recall is expected to begin on or before January 23, 2012.
