Upon coasting to a roundabout I was safe to continue however, when accelerating, the power to the wheels stopped and a harsh grinding noise occurred disabling me from driving anymore. I was almost hit and caused extreme concern for my safety and the safety of the passengers.

Transmission problems, engine light comes on and it says service transmission in the dashboard it is okay to be inspected upon request. I-??ve been to 4 different garages trying to get the problem fixed and have spend over $5,000 in less than a year. And the problem still occurs. Car delays drastically when changing gears. When driving, the vehicle will lose acceleration and the gas pedal will not work and the vehicle will not accelerate at all. The drive gear and the reverse gear will get confused with eachother. after stopping at a stop sign or traffic light the car has a very hard time accelerate and catching up to speed. The rpm-??s while driving also accelerate its self from time to time causing the car to pick up speed drastically unless I step on the break pedal to slow it down. My car is basically a death trap waiting to happen and this is not okay for my safety as well as others on the road.

06/01/2018 at 87,104 miles the PTO/PTU was replaced (warranty) due to 4LOW not being available and, once forced into 4LOW, could not be taken back to normal. New part # 68307403AC. Exact cause was not explained, but it 99% likely to be a failed seal letting oil into the electronic control and actuator compartment. 08/19/2022 at 106.582 miles the PTO/PTU diagnosed with faulty internal bearing for the rear driveshaft, causing grinding noises and eventually risking catastrophic failure. Replaced 02/15/2023 at ~107500 miles. New part # 68307403AG. This was all at my expense - over $3500. Jeep refused to cover anything even thought the part had lasted less than 20K miles and has been revised four times (version AC to AG since the first replacement).

While driving and coming to a stop, the transmission does not fully downshift automatically. Usually will only downshift automatically to 3rd gear. I don't realize the improper downshift until I accelerate and realize I am not in 1st gear. I've learned to perform a manual downshift after coming to a stop. Also, when in 1st gear and begin a slow start, to where the vehicle then shifts into 2nd gear, and then cruise at a constant speed that does not require shifting into 3rd, but then when I do begin to accelerate, there is a loud "clunk" that sounds and feels as if I was rear ended.

PTU identified under code C14A7-97. This part is a known problem with a large recall already completed but for some reason, this particular VIN doesn-€™t fall within the recall scope. Called several dealerships to ask about recall work and all indicate this VIN isn-€™t covered. -€œService 4 Wheel Drive-€ light is intermittent.

My vehicle drives about 30 miles before an alert will appear saying to service transmission. Along with the check engine light coming on. Vehicle will not accelerate and on hills will begin to roll backwards. When this happens the vehicle must be parked for at least 15 minutes and then on startup all codes will reset and return back to its normal operating. Took to dealership several times with error code P1DA9 and there was nothing that could be fixed.

the Vehicle has a lot of issues primarily involving the Transmission. The transmission does not shift correctly. The automatic shifting is very erratic. Shift very low sometimes at 2000RPM, and then other times a very high at over 5500RPM. During acceleration, it makes a grinding noise and a very rough shift which can pretty much push you forward from your seat. I took the Vehicle to be serviced several times while still under warranty to the Manhattan Jeep Service Center and every single time they said the computer needed to be updated, and after a few miles, it would go back to doing the same thing, rough shifting.

Vehicle was not included on 20v343 recall for PTU failure but had said failure. As described in the recall vehicle lost all power and forced to stop on interstate. Got out of vehicle and it started to roll away. No injuries no damage, I was able to stop it. The recall is a joke, just a computer update which applies the parking brake if PRU fails, never addressed the real problem, PTU input shaft failure. When I called FCA they said my vehicle didn-€™t come under the recall, so never had computer update, because of that I lost all power on interstate (unsafe), started to roll away ( very unsafe) and FCA told the to file a complaint. Thank you
