I purchased my 2015 Jeep Cherokee (Latitude) 7 months ago. I was transiting in an Avenue when the steering wheel could not move (its lock) and the vehicle was accelerated and would not decelerate . I stopped when the car hit a street lamp , a public line phone box and a fence. It was a full lost.

Cherokee Latitude V6

  • Manual transmission
  • 10,000 miles

I bought my 2015 Jeep Cherokee in March 2015. After getting t-boned in my Nissan 350z at 20 weeks pregnant, totaled my car and sent me to the hospital. Searching for a new vehicle was a long process. I wanted to make sure I was buying something that would be safe and reliable for me and my growing family.

Now after owning my Jeep for almost 9 months now I wish I would have never bought it! Any and everything that could have possibly gone wrong with a vehicle has! I have had issues with this vehicle since day 2! I purchased it on a Tuesday and it was back at the dealership that Thursday! All the headlights in it have been replaced multiple times it’s been up at the dealership close to 5 different times just for recalls not including all the issues they have to fix on it aside from recall parts. I was having issues with the tailgate that Jeep had apparently known about but failed to mention there was a recall on and after the lift gate completely giving out and collapsing on my head I woke up to a wire in it on fire. The entire car then smelled like a camp fire.

They supposedly “fixed” the fire issue and gave me the car back still smelling of a fire pit and all the plastic pieces in the rear end then reacted with the smoke and chemicals they used to clean it and turned white so once again I brought the jeep to the dealership to have the plastics replaced days later I came to pick it and up just to see that they rushed thru fixing my vehicle so fast that they didn’t even attach all the plastic pieces so once again the jeep is back at the dealership to be fixed!

On top of all this I have had problems with my transmission shifting so hard that it nearly throws you forward around 3rd and 4th gear and you might as well forget about safely stopping in this 32,000 dollar piece of sh*t! When applying the brakes the car then will start to accelerate on its own causing you to nearly rear end the person in front of you. I was told by the service department that Chrysler is aware of this problem and is taking their time working on a solution! Well hey Chrysler I have a solution for you, take this nightmare from hell that I have purchased back and shove it up your ass!

I would never in my life suggest some one purchase one of these sh*tty ass products!

Cherokee Limited 2.5L V4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 2,800 miles

I was lucky. I was in heavy traffic when the brake peddle kicked back, and I had no power brakes. Crashed into curb, tied up traffic for 2 hours until road side assistance towed the car away. It took them two weeks to get the part. If this had happened an hour earlier, I would have been off the side of a mountain and dead. This is the second time this SUV has nearly gotten me killed.

Cherokee Limited 2.5L V4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 4,670 miles

This the second time I found myself with no brakes, and there is no emergency brake on this Jeep. They replaced the same part less than 2 months before with less than 1800 miles on the part. This is the third time

My life has been put in danger while driving this SUV. The 2015 Jeep Cherokee is, as Ralph Nader would say " UNSAFE AT ANY SPEED". This is most unsafe and unreliable car I have ever owned.

The dealership support is nil, " it is up to Chrysler to solve your problem". The car has been in the shop over 45 days during the first 7 months. I have been left totally stranded twice and without any transportation for 15 days, and out of the pocket over $1500 dollars for getting back home, hotels, and cabs. NEVER EVER THINK ABOUT BUYING A CHRYSLER PRODUCT".
