Tuesday evening when I left work the car was hesitant in turning over, and when I shifted into reverse there was a long delay before the vehicle moved. I have been having transmissions issues (posted in a different place) and tried to shrug it off. Welp, you guessed it - Wednesday morning the car wouldn't start and I randomly got a message saying the engine temp was too hot (mind you the vehicle had been sitting for 10 hours overnight in cool weather),
Got it jumped and brought it to the dealer. After 2 days, they told me they replaced the battery because it must have shorted internally. I asked about the alternator, head gaskets..and was told they don't check every gasket like a safety inspection and just went with the battery not holding a charge. Okay, fine, we will try a new battery. But a 2.5 year old vehicle with 33k miles just randomly not starting should maybe be checked more thoroughly. (Read into the transmission issue under transmissions!)
This is the 2nd time this month the car has been in the shop. Thank god it is still under warranty but I will be car shopping before the warranty is up and the issues continue.
