Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

My wife says that as she approached a red light on a city street the vehicle had trouble stopping and that it felt like the front wheel was going to come off the car. When I looked at it I noticed a ton of corrosion on the front cross-member and sub-frame and one side had completely split apart.

I drove for several hours when my car started sliding to the side. I stopped to check and both my back tires were angled inward and completely ruined. I took the car to a mechanic for alignment, but he could not move the parts due to an excessive amount of rust. He mentioned that the whole subframe and arms had heavy corrosion and whole and the pieces could break anytime soon and I should not be driving the car. An extended warranty is applicable to the K frame for the model of my car but Jeep will not honor the warranty on my particular vehicle. I haven't drove the car since.
