Since the day I bought the Jeep Compass, the brakes squeal very low. I was told it was the wet weather, 6 months later still doing it, very embarrassing. I took to the Dealer and was told "Well, what do you expect, it's a Compass". Very upsetting to know the mechanics have a totally different opinion about the value of a car based on it's price.

I am extremely disappointed with the Jeep Compass. Apparently I am not alone. I bought my 2014 Compass new in September 2014 and noticed the noise in the brakes almost immediately. I have taken it in to the deal on several occasions to no avail. This week I emailed the owner and told him my issue and he just told me it was common and not dangerous, but if I am unhappy he will gladly support me in trading it for a car.

This should not be an issue for any vehicle that is new. That is part of the appeal of buying new...you don't have to fix things right away. I wish I was in the position to trade for something else but unfortunately I am stuck with a very disappointing vehicle. Jeep really needs to do something about this.

Dealers don't know what to do. Fixed it once, few days later started again....Jeep should either come up with solutions or replace the vehicle.

Update from Sep 17, 2015: I would like a number of the manufacturer of this vehicle.

Update from Nov 16, 2015: Took the vehicle to the dealer. They cleaned the brakes. Still doing it.

Took it back. They said they have replaced all brakes pads, still doing it. Contacted corporate office. Lady said to take it to another dealer, done that. They claimed it is normal., but that they do get lots of complaints on Compass brakes.

This is ridiculous. Next we will involved an attorney and see what we can do.

I purchased new car 2014, after two weeks my brakes were noisy, thought needed to be cleaned. Took car to dealer to check and they said nothing is wrong this type of car has noisy brakes. Really, why no one told me when I was buying car? Very embarrassed to drive new car with noisy brakes ....

Don't know what to do, paid $26.000 .00 and this?? A shame on Jeep Company with too many complaints not to be able to fix their problem.
