Ever since I bought this car the time on the dashboard has started changing on its own.Even after resetting it the time will slowly start changing on its own it still hasn-€™t been fixed since the service station doesn-€™t know what-€™s wrong and it-€™s too expensive for me to pay to have it taken apart. The airbag lights are constantly flashing go on and off as well as the tire pressure light even though the tire pressure is on the right setting. Most recently the belt under the hood has snapped this will be a second time, it has snapped with in a week of buying the new belt. I have had at least 3 recalls that I know of.Save your money and buy a Toyota.

My driver side passenger headset deployed without warning, on Sunday 8/21/22, while my husband was driving the car with vin # [XXX]. I called the dealer on 8/26/22 and provided the last 8 #s from the vin, per the dealer repair shop rep at 10:22am; which stated no recalls on the headrests and due to the mileage of 109k it would not be covered anyway. So, I sharing my safety concerns since the passenger side deployed the driver's side headrest can do the same thing and worst while I am driving. Dealer called was called: Robert Hutson Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Trucks on 2500 1st Ave SE, Moultrie, GA 31788 and ph # (229) 891-4000. Please feel free to contact me. Thank you for you time. While driving (with no collision or impact of any kind) the passenger side active head restraint deployed. Luckily no one was in the passenger seat, the impact could have caused injury. There were no warning lights or problems of any kind prior to or after the deployment. Upon inspection I was told there are some plastic pieces that hold the restraint in place that have broken.

The airbag light goes on intermittently while driving because of the driver seat belt sensor issues per the mechanic. Also, the passenger seat recline lever broke right off, so we can no longer recline. More importantly, the car sometimes won't even start. Dashboard panel just remains black, and the engine does not even turn over. Just silent. After waiting a few moments, it starts perfectly. Mechanics don't know.

Every time I start my 2015 Jeep Compass, R stationary and running, I see a warning light appear regarding my air bag, indicating the airbag system has failed. Possibly a simple reset, however, Jeep has had other year Jeep recalled regarding faulty airbags.

The right front passenger headrest deployed while car was parked and not in use. The plastic retainer clips are broken and it can not be fixed. This is a safety issues that has been documented repeatedly on Jeep forum so it is a manufacturing problem. Jeep needs to replace this free of charge as it deployed on its own while the car was parked and not in use

I am not the only one complaining about this. I've seen other complaints about this problem online. When I test drove my car, the airbag light turned on. The sales guys said it was a defect and would get fixed. Well, that never happened and I went back to the dealership three times and after they gave me a hard time, I gave up. I emailed Chrysler, called them, nothing! I will never buy a Jeep again. Horrible customer service. The air bag light dings and goes on and off sporadically and it's been like this since 2015. If I get into a crash and this light is on, I'm afraid the airbag will not release. There will be a lawsuit regardless if I'm dead or not! I guess you won't react until someone gets into an accident? meanwhile, wehae to live with the constant ding, ding, ding! Jeep Compass airbag warning light. If this light stays illuminated after the engine has started it signals that there is a fault within the airbag module and you are no longer being offered the safety in the way your Jeep was designed to. You should get this checked out as soon as possible by your local garage. Unfortunately at this time we do not stock any tools which are suitable to diagnose the Jeep airbag system, and buying these tools yourself can be very expensive. Letter to and from Chrysler. Re: Chrysler group llc customer assistance ([xxx]) customerassist wed 1/6/2016 2:31 pm dear [xxx], thank you for contacting the Jeep customer assistance center regarding your Compass. We purchased the Jeep Compass on 11/15/14. Within the first week of ownership, the airbag light came on. We returned it to the dealership a total of 5 times between 11/15/14 and 12/12/14. On 12/12, they replaced the airbag. Within another week, the airbag light started coming back on again. We have reported it again and took it back to dealership. They said the last time that there was no one there that knew how to fix it. We really love the Jeep, but are not comfortable driving a car with airbag issues and would really like to get this resolved quickly.
