I have received several recall notices over a number of years regarding the potential for fire in the case of a rear-end collision. The repair negotiated is to add an oem tow bar. The dealers claim they have not received the replacement parts or any word as to when they will be available. After waiting several years, I followed the instructions on the recall notice and had an oem tow bar installed at my expense and mailed the receipts, as instructed, to the address given along with the promise to refund the cost of repair within 60 days of verifying the paperwork. I have received nothing after several months -- except another identical recall notice. This problem has been known for a number of years. Yet no action has been taken by Jeep (Chrysler) either to repair the defect or refund the cost of having it done myself....updated 05/14/15 updated 9/16/2015
