My husband and son left the house and was driving about a block away when a car pulled up and yelled your truck is on fire get out. They pulled over and got out and ran and within seconds the entire truck was in flames, before the fire department got there the truck was completely in flames and door were melting off. Thank god my family got out, however I have been calling the special investigation dept. On recall notice everyday under case no. 25700953 and everyday no one will assist me. I am now without a truck and no one will assist.
I heard its common in a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Ill be driving down the road fine and then the car just shuts off with out any warning and wont start back up for at least an hour, but it dies about 2-5 minutes later! it dies in the middle of an intersection while stopped at a light or waiting to turn. It has died when turning a corner into traffic making me almost cause an accident many of times. I do not drive this vehicle any more do to the danger it may cause to myself and others on the road. Iv taken it in to be fixed an no one can find what's wrong with it! I know it has a problem and the more I hear about it so does everyone else who has ever owned this type of vehicle, so why cant anyone pen point it..and why hasn't it been taken care of..
1. when ever I drive my Jeep Grand Cherokee for an extended time it starts to shudder. 2. after I accelerate to 50 to 60 and let off the gas a little the car starts shuddering. 3 I attempted to fix it by replacing my transmission but this did not help!
After years of few problems, my 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee stopped running. The engine died and could not be re-started. The vehicle was towed to a mechanic who worked on it for years and he is unable to find the problem. The computerized diagnostics show that there is no problem with the electronics but the mechanic can not get it operating.
Speed control would work sometimes. Replaced sensor transmission is lazy taking off have to put in to 2nd gear for car to move and this is a automatic trans, main engine seal went replace that, transmission leak very badly fix that, when driving front end shakes sometimes don't know what that is got brakes and still dose it, when sitting at a light Jeep tries to take off by itself jerking our heads back, muffler from catalytic converter rotted off while on a family vacation all of this with in a year I work hard and I am not rich always wanted a Jeep now I regret it but I am stuck how can I get this mess fix please help!!!
