The aluminum idler bracket with pulley that is part of the mounting for the a/c compressor and alternator broke right off right at the pulley. Luckily I was not going very fast and hard a loud thunk and pulled over. I saw the fan belt all wrapped up and initially thought the belt had snapped, but then saw the idler pulley sitting down at the bottom of the front of the engine. Part from the dealer was over $150 and back ordered. Went to the junkyard and got one off the Cash for Clunker Jeeps for $13 plus the $2 admission. I could see no reason why it would have broken like that.
