I can drive into town (20) miles from my house and the engine will loose RPMs and the engine will die. The air conditioner will still be working as well as the radio. It may die 3 times when I drive it or it may not die at all for days. Its very inconsistent when it dies therefore its hard to diagnose because I cant make it replicate what it's doing. When the engine does die sometimes it will start right back up no problem and sometimes it won't even crank over.

You never know when your car will shut off while driving, really freaky if you are slowing down and it cuts off and you are trying not to hit the car in front of you.

Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.0L V6

I was told this is a common problem with the late model Jeeps, but Chrysler did not nor will not take steps to address the problem. It is extremely dangerous to drive a vehicle that suddenly cuts off while driving. I do not have plans to purchase another Chrysler product, they are garage. I have replaced so many components on my Jeep before it was 5 years old. I paid the vehicle off early and didn't want a car note, but there is a list of things I recall off the top of my head. ABS system Rotors (well known problem for Jeep) Transmission Sensors Replaced sensor (reverse lights stayed on while driving) Power Steering Hose Radiator Water Pump 2 oil sensors coolant fan thermostat alternator crank position sensor Emission leak valve gasket cover transmission leak CV boots and axles Rear differential
